A personalization stack in this category either treats the vehicle as identity or it does not work. We built the identity first, then wired every Nosto surface to read from it, so the store recognizes the rider on every page and every session without asking her to repeat herself.

A rider types the model year of a Polaris Ranger into the search bar and expects the site to remember it on every page after that. Not on the results page. Not on the category. On every page, every session, every return visit, until the vehicle in the garage changes. Fitment is the promise a side by side catalog is either keeping or breaking, and the promise is silent when it works. When it fails, the customer leaves and does not come back.

A parts catalog that had to know the vehicle
UTV Source is North America's largest aftermarket parts retailer for side by sides and ATVs, running a deep catalog on BigCommerce with paid media reach that pulls in the audience the category demands. The problem was not traffic. It was that Searchspring treated fitment as a faceted filter, one more checkbox in a sidebar, when the category treats fitment as identity. A CRO program in this catalog rebuilds around that fact or it hits a ceiling.
The picture we drew was a store that recognized the rider at the door and stayed with her through the aisles. My Garage as a persistent shopper identity, not a preference saved in a cookie. Nosto reading from that identity on search, category, recommendations, on site content, and behavioral pop ups. Merchandising rules that changed at rebate season without a person editing a homepage on a Saturday morning. One signal, wired through every surface, held together by rules that keep working after the launch week ends.

How the stack was rebuilt around fitment
We migrated UTV Source from Searchspring to Nosto, architected My Garage as a persistent shopper identity, and wired the same fitment signal into search, category, recommendations, content, and behavioral pop ups. The rebuild ran on Shopify infrastructure and BigCommerce catalog logic, with Klaviyo and Meta reading the same identity downstream.
The program scaled to 173 onsite content campaigns, 53 recommendation campaigns, 53 merchandising rules, and 376 behavioral profiles running concurrently, roughly ten times what most Nosto accounts run live. Every meaningful surface is A/B tested before it scales, and roughly half of the historical recommendation campaigns were retired through testing rather than left running out of habit. We run the account the way a paid team runs an ad account, with constant iteration and ruthless removal of losers. Because the site converts dramatically better, the paid media team rebuilt the ad stack around it, pulling out of saturated, high frequency Meta inventory and reinvesting where the onsite engine pays back hardest. The internal team got their nights and weekends back. The merchandising sharpened at the same time.

Success Stories
Scarlett Gasque: The Open Was Never the Problem
A Klaviyo program with strong opens, clean deliverability, and every flow already live. One number told a quieter story. In ninety days the click to open rate climbed, engagement moved from 39.4 percent to 50.7 percent, revenue rose 78 percent, and sessions fell 32 percent. A better audience, not a bigger one.
