We were brought in to take over the email and SMS program for a high volume tattoo and body art supply brand inside the Body Art Alliance group. The brand had the catalog, the audience, and a large SMS list already producing real revenue. What it did not have was a lifecycle program that worked as one system. Deliverability was compromised, email and SMS were run as strangers to each other, the automated flows that should carry a program were thin or missing, and the list had never been cleaned or properly segmented.

A working tattoo studio at nine in the morning, needles in cassette trays, ink bottles capped, a purchase order open on a laptop between clients. The buyer inside that studio is professional, informed, and quick to unsubscribe from anything that reads like a robot. The program had been sending to a list that had never been cleaned, and the inbox had stopped opening.

Four broken systems, one B2B program built on demand it could not carry
Ultimate Tattoo Supply, part of the Body Art Alliance group, arrived at the engagement with the audience and the catalog already in place. A large SMS list was already producing real revenue. What was missing was a lifecycle program that worked as one system. Deliverability had been eroded by sending to an unmanaged list, and the inbox had stopped trusting the sender. Email lived in Klaviyo, SMS lived in Attentive, and the two were run as separate programs by separate logic, often colliding on the same buyer on the same day. The automated flows that carry a program were thin or missing. And the list itself had no segmentation or hygiene. Any one of those will cap a program. All four together had put a ceiling on a B2B brand already generating seven figure annual scale.
The picture we drew was unglamorous and non negotiable. Repair the sending domain first, because a lifecycle program is worth nothing if the messages never reach the inbox. Unify Klaviyo and Attentive under one coordinated calendar so email and SMS reinforce rather than fight. Build out the flow library from welcome through browse and cart recovery through post purchase, so automation carries the work that campaigns should not. Rebuild the list around engagement and segment by behavior and purchase history, then keep it clean on an ongoing cadence so the deliverability gains hold. Foundation, then reach, then compounding.

What we inherited, and what we rebuilt
A lifecycle program is not a series of sends. It is a system with four load bearing parts, and all four were broken when we took over.
Deliverability was repaired and protected with engagement based sending, disciplined volume, and a re established sender reputation, so the inbox opened again. Email and SMS were unified into one coordinated calendar across Klaviyo and Attentive, with messaging cadence and suppression rules that treat the customer as one person across both channels. The flow library was built out, welcome, abandoned cart, browse recovery, and post purchase, and a single Welcome Series email drove the largest share of flow revenue on its own. Segmentation was rebuilt around engagement, behavior, and purchase history, and ongoing list hygiene was put in place to protect the gains. The result reads in the numbers the way the source doc did: 52.73 percent campaign email open rates, 59.78 percent flow open rates, and a 5.09 percent blended conversion rate, all above category norms. Email lifecycle revenue now compounds on top of an SMS program that already contributes the majority of the channel's revenue.

Success Stories
Scarlett Gasque: The Open Was Never the Problem
A Klaviyo program with strong opens, clean deliverability, and every flow already live. One number told a quieter story. In ninety days the click to open rate climbed, engagement moved from 39.4 percent to 50.7 percent, revenue rose 78 percent, and sessions fell 32 percent. A better audience, not a bigger one.
