When The Mixologer came to Atelier Commerce, they had a premium brand trapped in a dated storefront. Six months after we relaunched the site, re architected for CRO, rebuilt on a modern Shopify foundation, and layered with social proof and trust modules, every part of the funnel performed better.

A cocktail kit box, ribboned, on a kitchen island in the second week of December, chosen from a browser tab that has to render before the attention moves. Premium gifting is a shopper who researches on desktop, confirms on mobile, and closes the tab if the storefront makes her wait. The prior site made her wait 19.3 seconds.

A premium brand trapped in a dated storefront
The Mixologer is an upscale, curated cocktail kit and gifting brand. Paid traffic was scaling. The storefront was not converting at the level the brand deserved. The flagship carried a 19.3 second load and a Google PageSpeed grade of F. Every dollar of paid budget hit an experience that softened the promise on arrival. The buyer this brand serves reads before she buys, in gifting season more than any other, and the previous site could not carry the reading.
The picture we drew was a full CRO rebuild. A modern Shopify build under the visual language a premium buyer expects. Faster PDPs, so a kit and its provenance render inside the first breath. Integrated social proof and trust modules at the points of hesitation. A re architected merchandising flow that competes with the category's premium leaders. Speed as a design constraint, not a plugin. And a storefront that would keep working after the launch email went out.

Rebuilt on a modern Shopify foundation, sharpened at every touch
The site was re architected for CRO, rebuilt on a modern Shopify foundation, and layered with social proof and trust modules. Load time moved from 19.3 seconds to under two. An F became an A.
Six months after the relaunch, every part of the funnel performed better. Revenue climbed 132.6 percent to 3,277,614 dollars. Transactions climbed 139.8 percent to 25,872. Conversion rate improved 36.3 percent relative, from 2.49 percent to 3.39 percent. Revenue per user grew 42.7 percent, from 3.79 dollars to 5.41. Add to cart rate rose 21.4 percent relative, from 6.89 percent to 8.36 percent. The engagement moved with the funnel: pages per session rose 8.2 percent, average session duration climbed to 90 seconds, and engaged sessions climbed 82.1 percent to 288,323. The look was cleaner, but the reading was longer and the close was harder. Repeat behavior carried the loyalty signal. Returning customer purchases climbed 176 percent to 7,177, returning customer revenue climbed 149 percent to 891,993 dollars, and the returning visitor conversion rate moved from 6.42 percent to 7.80 percent. The brand stopped reading as a one and done gifting purchase. Organic search sessions grew 125 percent to 27,587 and organic revenue grew 185 percent to 232,219 dollars, the cleanest signal that the technical rebuild and content architecture worked, because organic does not lie and cannot be bought. Desktop revenue climbed 173 percent to 810,000 dollars as the higher AOV gifting researcher responded to the rebuild. And the whole experience offset a double digit rise in paid media costs entirely, through conversion alone.
